Article Writing, The Holy Grail of SEO… Content IS King!

When I first started as an article writer it was a quite challenging. Not that writing was difficult, but having to implement SEO article writing techniques was a whole new adventure. I realized soon enough that writing quality content goes beyond just creating an article. Search engines love quality, unique and informative content, regardless of the source. So I thought to myself, is high quality content the holy grail of SEO? I set out to find out.

I embarked on a search for the most important technique in SEO.  I knew very little about On-Page optimization, but I discovered soon enough that one of the most important factors was indeed quality content. It was not hard to discover it, especially since I came across that subject just about everywhere. Funny thing is most people who recommended quality, lacked in some way or another, quality grammar, educational content and unique information. As an article writer for hire and one who particularly specializes in SEO article writing, I made it a point to show people the proper way to implement, what many consider the most important method of optimization, article writing and distributing.

Now, I may not be an expert, and do not intend to be, yet I have gained enough knowledge to guide you adequately so that your article marketing renders the best results. Keep in mind that writing an article should not only serve as a means to market your site, but you must also inform the reader. There must be a balance between quality content and keyword usage. The keywords should be part of well organized sentence, and used in the right context. Do not make the all too often mistake of packing your articles with keywords. This not only looks like spam to the search engine crawlers but people will be immediately turned off. You will appear as a spammer, no one will take you seriously, and hence you would have failed at the most important SEO backlink building technique to increase traffic.

Ok, so you have learned not to overcrowd an article with keywords, but now you are probably wondering exactly how many times they keyword or keyphrases should be mentioned within the piece. I can tell you off hand there is no exact formula, it varies according to length, subject and of course your style or preference. What I can tell you for sure is that you should keep no more than 3% keyword content within the article. This means that the main keyword or phrase should be mentioned once, in either of the first two sentences of your introduction. It should also be mentioned once in the conclusion and sporadically throughout the body of the article. You are probably thinking that it seems like so little. But remember that more often than not, a little goes a long way. And when it comes to article writing QUALITY precedes QUANTITY anytime. Just think how you would react if you were to encounter an article that was poorly written and crammed with keywords. You probably would not go beyond the first paragraph, and most certainly your readers will not either!!!

Not everyone can afford an article writer for hire that specializes in SEO content writing. But taking the above measures into consideration will allow you to create quality content articles. Quality content is a key factor in article marketing. And because of its importance, it allows you to establish yourself as an authority. Being an authority makes people trust you. What happens when you develop trust in a reader? They are more likely to spend money with you. And ultimately that is the main reason for marketing a site, to create a customer base for your site or business. But in order to do that you must unravel the Holly Grail Of SEO… Content Article Writing!

An Article Writer For Hire Met The Forum; Yeah, Now I Got It! It's Much More Than An Anchor Text Or A Signature...

Deciding about what I am going to write can be quite a task. Yet, this week after finishing off some articles for some clients, I soon realized I need not look far. I got an idea just by participating in the few forums I belong to. Especially one of the most important ones; they decided to take drastic measures thanks to unscrupulous people that are ruining it for others like me, who want to learn. Now, do not misunderstand me here, I am not going to write about forums. I will try to teach you how to use forums to benefit your business, while helping others gain useful information that will in return, help them in their personal and professional endeavors.

Now, there are hundreds, and I dare say, maybe even thousands of forums online. Yet, only a few dozen or so have any real quality content. Needless to say that the information found within each can vary drastically, from very useful to absolutely appalling. Ok, but let’s not deviate our attention here, I said I was not going to discuss forums but rather, how to partake in them. For starters, as an article writer, I was a little adamant about joining forums because I just could not figure out how, or why I would benefit from it; I was wrong.

Writing articles and content rich articles is probably the easiest thing for me, doing business online and promoting is NOT. I just do not get it; believe me I did not do well in the adverting branch of communications in college. But again, that too is a whole different article. Ok, back to forums, when I started it was because I was told it would help me dramatically in learning about SEO techniques. At the same time, it would probably even bring me possible clients and increase traffic. Boy, I was happily surprised to notice how much I enjoy it and how much knowledge I have acquired. I have to share with you my three simple rules, which help me, stay motivated and focused when I am inside a forum.

To begin you must be clear as to what exactly are the forums rules, regulations and guidelines. These in essence are all the same, but they mean different things in all of the individual forums. Forums should be used for three things, promotion, link building, and gain popularity within the forum and establish yourself as an authority. Now, it may sound easy enough, and believe me it is, but you must be cautious, careful, considerate, and convincing.

Ok, so you already know that your main reason there is to promote your website, program, product or service. Whichever the reason, do not by any means sell directly within your posts. Most forums have a marketplace section where members can place their ads. Your promotion will appear in your signature when you post. Of course there are forums that require a minimum amount of comments, before making your signature available; this is why you should have read the rules and regulations. Having your links in your forum signature, will allow forum members to directly visit your site if they see that you are knowledgeable in the theme, and you can offer them further help.

A signature link also serves as a back link. I am sure you have heard everything there is about building backlinks in order for search engines to find your site. Well, it is true! Yet, you must remember the importance of content. Having your link in a signature is not just for decoration purposes when a search engine finds you. When someone enters a keyword or key phrase, a SE will pull up everything related to that particular keyword or phrase, including forum postings that you have made. If the comment is in any way helpful to the person, guess what’s going to happen? Exactly, they will click on your link and visit your site.

Finally, forum postings help you become and authority in the matter, theme or topic. The more you participate, the more forum members see you, the more you look like an expert, and the more likely you are to build business relationships there. This is another reason why, your comments should have content, be informative and offer valuable help. This makes people trust you as a businessperson, and as an authority in the subject. Now, I am not saying you can not make one line comments, you can; but do not make it a habit. Making the same remarks in every thread can get you a spamming complaint, and a sanction, suspension or even get you banned from the forum. So, know the theme being discussed, add valuable information or ask logical questions.

Forum posting is actually entertaining, educational, and helpful for your business accomplishments. You just have to know how to use them adequately. And if you follow the aforementioned recommendations, you will be well on your way to success.

My First Article… Completed! So, You Too Can Be A Great Article Writer

When I first began writing as a freelancer, I must admit, it was quite a challenge. Sure, my journalistic experience helped quite a bit, but this was a different type of writing. It was in a field totally new to me, since most of my clients were requesting SEO friendly articles using keywords. I thought to myself, “Ok, if I did not lose it covering tragic accidents and having to report on that; I sure am not going to let keyword centered articles intimidate me.” So, I took the first challenge. I read up on internet marketing, increase traffic, solo ads, traffic exchange sites and many other things that make up the online business and internet marketing world. I have to admit that my first client was quite helpful and understanding. And so, I began my journey.

After carefully studying quite a bit of information from diverse sources, I began with an outline. Not that this was am everyday practice as a journalist, unless of course it was an investigative report. To a certain extent, this series of articles was a special report. I was to write about something I had very little or hardly any knowledge of.  So, I drafted an outline; a very simple one to start. At first I jotted down important factors on what I had learned in my research, divided by categories, some of which are mentioned above. The next part of my outline consisted in the ideas that my client furnished me with, including keywords. This was not news article writing, this was article writing of a whole different kind.

Once the outline was drafted, I began writing. Since these articles would not have quotes, or witness accounts, I had to base it solely on my investigation. I can not remember whether it was about solo ads or traffic exchange sites, but it took me quite some time. I obviously had to state the main point of that article in the introduction. It sounds pretty elementary, but if you are unsure about something, going back to basics, will not hurt you. I stated what method of web marketing it was and how it could be of benefit to web entrepreneurs who used it. Surprisingly the words continued to flow. And, the more I looked at my outline and to my notes, the better my article was shaping to be.

Believe it or not, in quite a few hours, yes I mean more like six hours, I was finished. It may sound long, but to me it seemed like FOREVER; especially when I am used to writing under pressure due of publication or air deadlines. But the article was done. I set it aside and waited a bit. I had to walk away, and let my brain cells clear, before taking on the task of editing. I took to editing the draft, and to my surprise, I had covered all the basic fundamental aspects of whatever it was I was writing about; which, as I think harder, I believe it was about traffic exchange sites. And, in case you are wondering, yes I reverted back to the basics of the outline and wrote a conclusion that summed up all of the points I made throughout the article. These points or ideas came together beautifully in a uniformed fashion. I read it again, made a few tweaks and corrections, inverted a couple of lines and voila. My first freelance article not related to current events, was COMPLETED!

The final touch was the headline, subject line, heading or whichever way you want to call it. This at first gave me trouble as well. In current events you tend to pick a high impact quote from a witness, victim, or interviewee. Or even a strong adjective that can describe what will probably be the most moving point in your story. With article writing, it was different, to some extent. I began skimming the article looking for lines that jumped out at me, until I found it. It was catchy, informative, yet not too revealing. If it were not for the agreements with my client, where I turned over full copyright, I would have included the title hear. Now, copyright, that is a whole different topic I had to get used to, yet, that will be at another time.

For now, I hope you have grasped in some sort of way the easiest way to begin writing good articles. Follow my ideas, and before you know it, you too will be a great article writer.
